Warstars made their first big-time radio appearance on 94.7 KNRK's morning show with Gustav and Daria. Warstars had heard that Daria was a hottie and were looking forward to meeting her, but she was out sick that day.

Warstars played 8 spots, live, on the air that morning. At the end of the show, Gustav interviewed the band and played a cut from Warstars 2nd album "Ubik" entitled "Stars & Bars", a tribute to the 9/11 what have you. The reaction was positive.

The folks at KNRK gave Warstars a compact disc of their performance, but the sound levels on the compact disc were all messed up. Warheads who had heard Warstars on the radio said that the band wasn't coming through loud enough. In the studio, the Warstars were playing loud enough to be wearing ear plugs the whole time, so it wasn't the band. Must have been the sound guy, and his faulty patch cords. (Why is it always the sound guy? Sheesh...)
